WC SENIOR BUDAPEST 2022 – Norwegian Swimming Association

The dive part of the world championship for seniors is from 26.06 – 03.07. This year we have two strong cards that will plunge both failure and tower drills. We send the following teams to this year’s world championship for seniors in Budapest.

Caroline Kupka from Bergen Diving Club.

FINA PhD candidate Caroline has been taken out to fail the exercises 1 meter and 3 meters. The Bergen girl who has plunged well in 2022 delivered some incredible series during the Bergen Open in 2022. What will be the world’s largest international competition this year also had the FINA judge school in place, which made the judging hard, strict and fair. Nevertheless, the 18-year-old succeeded in setting a new Norwegian record of 3 meters. Considering the regular dive and that she is not that far from the Swedes big dives Emilie Garip, we are looking forward to the World Cup. This will be Caroline’s first World Cup for seniors.

Helle Tuxen

Helle Tuxen from Pingvin Stupklubb.

The sun girl who for the last two years lives in the USA where she studies and coaches reached the NCAA finals at all heights. Many good results in almost all the competition for the school in the 2021/2022 season. Helle has become a “veteran” even though she is only 21 years old and has participated in both the World Cup and the World Cup before. Helle has been taken out to all three heights, but it is 10 meters that is her strongest exercise.

Espen Gilje Bergslien leaves as coach and with him is a former national team coach for Norway and sports manager for the British diving national team Kim White. Together, the two will lay the foundation for the best possible results during the WC and later this summer the EC.
