Zeekit ÅM 2021 – Norwegian Swimming Association

Sandnes SLK did a solid job of arranging Zeekit Year Class Championship (ÅM) 2021. This year’s championship was held 24-26. September in Austrått swimming pool in Sandnes. Athletes aged 13-16 years had qualified for the championship through LÅMØ. There were many smiles in the hall, fast swimming, personal records, ÅM records, and a great experience for those present!

Stavanger Swimming Club became the best club!

Sandnes SLK received a lot of praise as an organizer. The club took on the event just before the summer when there was great uncertainty about whether the event could be carried out in Eastern Norway as planned with the coronary restrictions. Sandnes also showed an eye for detail, among other things with regard to prizes (inspired from the 18th century) and a quiet area for coaches and leaders to talk to each other.

Extra special was that ÅM 2021 went in as part of the opening of the sport. Saturday 25 September at In 1600, all corona restrictions were removed.
